Will Newcastle end up having 10 points dedcuted??

As many of you out there would have seen today, the football season kicked off this afternoon in all divisions apart from the Premiership. Real football, as Newcastle, West Brom and Middlesbrough fans are now saying!!!

Having watched the drab affair that was West Brom vs Newcastle it kinda got me thinking - just how much longer will Mike Ashley keep looking for a buyer before he considers putting the club into administration?? The inevitability is that they are stuck in the championship for the rest of this season, living off less TV money and smaller gate receipts but at the same time still having to pay Premiership wages to many.

So when you think about, I don't think my question is entirely bizarre. How may clubs out there have both Newcastle's debts and their wage bill? Like most football fans I'd like to see Newcastle back in the Prem however, there must be many fans fearing for the worst given the current climate.

Any thoughts??

  1. let's just say what i have seen of Mike Ashley,he lives in excess and never seemed to be taking care of the club in order to curb the upcoming doom, that is sure to happen.the latest though is that he will be keeping the club somehow and not putting shearer in as manager.i think i could do a much better job than anyone the people behind this club could bring in,lmao.i feel sorry for the players who are not leaving and not because they don't want to i'm sure but out of necessity.i think they will just have to make do in the champs league and bear all the many bad decisions of their current(still)owner.
